AUTHORIZATION ZONES

 

 

 

 

DESCRIPTIONAuthorization Zones is part of the MyWork Timecard system.  This tool allows you to alter the geographical areas where devices are authorized to use the MyWork Time Clock feature.  MyWork does provide an option that also requires the device to be in an authorized area to use the timecard create and edit features.  You can create as many authorized zones as you need.  To use Authorization Zones, your administrator will need to enable zones in the MyWork Settings tab.

 

 

 

To access:  Click on the Payroll module  then click the Authorization Zones menu item.  

 

The following window will appear:

 

 

Click and drag the left mouse button to pan to any area on the map.  Zoom in or out by using either the mouse wheel or by using the Zoom slider bar at the bottom of the window.

 

To create a new zone, click and drag the right mouse button to draw your zone.  You will see a box being created.  Once you have finished your zone, let go of the mouse and the zone will be created.  The zone will appear in the Zone Name list and include the approximate size of the zone.

 

To select an existing zone, click on the zone from the Zone Name list.  The map will automatically pan to the selected zone box. 

 

If you want to change the name of a zone, select the zone from the Zone Name list and type in the new name in the Authorization Zone Name field.

 

To remove a zone, select it from the Zone Name list and either press the delete key on your keyboard or click the delete box  next to the name.

 

Once you are done making changes, click the Save button at the bottom of the window.

 

Click on the X in the upper right corner of the window to close the window.
