BANK CALCULATION

DESCRIPTIONBank Calculation is used to add hours to an employee's payroll banks using the selected options.  You can calculate all your banks or select which ones are to be calculated.

To access:  Click on the Payroll module  then click the Bank Calculation menu item.

The following window will appear:

To calculate banks, enter the Effective date for the calculation or you can enter the date by using the calendar button.  If you are calculating banks for a particular department, then select the Department from the drop down list.  If you are calculating banks for all departments, then leave this option blank.

Select the banks you wish to calculate by checking the box next to the bank code.

Banks that get updated based on an employee's anniversary date have three additional fields:  Low anniversary date, High anniversary date, and an Additional amount.  Enter Low and High anniversary dates if you wish to calculate this bank only for employees whose anniversary dates fall within this range.  If the Low anniversary date field is left blank, then employees with anniversaries through the High anniversary date will be included.  If the High anniversary date is left blank, then employees with anniversaries on or after the Low anniversary date will be included.  If both fields are left blank, then all employees with anniversary dates specified will be included.  If you need information concerning the Calc Type field, see Bank Types.

If you want to add an additional amount to everyone's bank regardless of their anniversary date, then enter the amount in the Additional amount field.

When you are ready to calculate your selected banks, then click the Calculate Banks button.  A confirmation window will appear:  Please enter a journal description for the bank calculation.  A default Journal Description comes up, but you can change it if necessary.  Click OK.  Once the bank calculation is complete, a success message window summarizing the bank calculation will appear.  Click OK.  The bank calculation window will reset allowing you to do additional bank calculations.

Click on the X in the upper right corner of the window to close the window.
